I sound like a winter hater. Truth is, I don't hate winter at all. We are snowmobile lovers so if we have enough snow to use the machines it is a ton of fun at our house. I also enjoy cross country skiing though my boots have seen better days, I also enjoy skating though my skates no longer fit me and we also enjoy tobogganing and when it comes to toboggans we have more than enough of those - wooden ones, plastic ones, saucers, crazy carpets......
So, this morning my Son and I loaded up the truck and headed to the local recreation park. This was my Son's first time tobogganing on a big hill so I wasn't sure he would enjoy it or even want to go down the hill. Well, I was wrong. He enjoyed it and when I asked if he wanted to try going down alone I found myself watching from the bottom of the hill. He wanted to go down alone, without me, every time.
We had a ton of fun and hated to leave. The temperatures are rising, the snow was getting a bit soft. And, even though my last post was about dreaming of spring and camping I found myself hoping it doesn't rain today. Winter is boring without the snow. If we have to endure the cold temperatures then we might as well have the snow to play in.
I am looking forward to our next tobogganing adventure. Next time I will take at least two toboggans so I'm not left watching all the fun!
